What is the difference between Chax and MultiCHAX?▾
Chax (10 and Cloud) is for collecting payments — you accept checks from your customers. MultiCHAX (10 and Cloud) is for printing checks — you print checks to pay your vendors, employees, or AP. If you need both, you need both products.
Are the desktop apps compatible with Mac?▾
No. Chax 10 and MultiCHAX 10 are Windows-only. If you are on a Mac, you need the cloud versions: Chax Cloud or MultiCHAX Cloud, which run in any browser on Mac, Windows, or Chromebook.
Do I need a subscription for the desktop apps?▾
No. Chax 10 and MultiCHAX 10 are one-time purchases with perpetual licenses. The cloud versions (Chax Cloud and MultiCHAX Cloud) are subscription-based.
Does CHAX work with QuickBooks?▾
Yes. CHAX is a certified QuickBooks Gold Developer. MultiCHAX 10 and MultiCHAX Cloud integrate directly with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
What kind of printer do I need?▾
You need a laser printer with MICR toner for check printing. Standard inkjet printers are not suitable for MICR output. CHAX works with most major laser printer brands.
